Chabad of Greece is part of the worldwide movement of Chabad- Lubavitch, dedicated to the spiritual and physical well being of Jews everywhere, under the leadership of the Lubavicher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Shneerson obm.
The Jewish Museum of Greece was founded with the aim of collecting, studying, preserving and exhibiting the artifacts which reflect the life, customs, rites and traditions of Greek Judaism.
The Island of Rhodes has maintained a Jewish community for centuries. During the 1920's the Island had an estimated Jewish population of 4,000, whose social and cultural background was strongly influenced by the refugees of the Spanish Inquisition. Now in Rhodes there are only 7 families, 35 people, of Jewish origin remaining.
