German Klezmer Band Mesinke, who performed at the International Klezmer Festival Sfad (Israel) in 1999, released their fourth Klezmer CD with Russian Fiddler Juri Finkelberg. Tourdates and infos can be found at www.mesinke.de. The CD with new recordings of old Abe Schwartz Orchestra songs and traditional Yiddish songs can also be ordered on that site.

"Minsker Kapelye" klezmer ensemble of Minsk, Belarus, led by Dmitri Slepovitch. The ensemble performs in style close to so called "authentic klezmer". The musicians carry out expeditions and research on a regular basis, together with Dr. Nina Stepanskaya coming across Belarus and interviewing elderly people. The repertory consists of numerous pieces of east Ashkenazi wedding music, as well as pieces by Russian-Jewish composers of early 20th cent. (A.Krein, M.Gnessin).

Jerusalem Musical Trio (soloists of LAMA LO! klezmer band). The ensemble consists of Roman Kekhman (Clarinet, Saxophone), Yakov Entin (Violin, Guitar). I accompany them on the Piano or Electric Piano (Keaboard). The Ensemble presents a new view of traditional Jewish folklore by blending traditional klezmer music with elements of classical, jazz and Middle Eastern ethnic music.

For over ten years Ot Azoj has been playing their own style of Klezmer. Since the formation of the band they have been a welcome guest at festivities and parties. Organisers of festivals also want to see Ot Azoj in their programming. Ot Azoj also plays a musical theatre production, called Zets!, with the singer Natalia Rogalski.

The Pannónia Klezmer Band was founded seven years ago by Ferenc Gyula Zsákay. Six young, highly qualified musicians play together in the band. Drums and piano have been added to the traditional ensemble of clarinet, violin and TUBA. The band plays Eastern European Jewish folk music. They aim at preserving traditions. Their repertoire includes more and more of their own compositions besides the traditional Jewish (Klezmer) tunes.
