way to meet other Single Jewish Adults
(and some happily married outdoorsy
ones, too!)

Mosaic is a volunteer
run outdoor Jewish Club, active in over twenty U.S.
and international cities,
that encourages single and married Jewish adults of all ages
to safely enjoy different aspects of the outdoors.
You needn't be experienced in an activity, just willing to try it!
The Southwest Florida
chapter is based in the Naples-Fort Myers area.
Some Outdoor Activities include:
- Beach Activities-Beach walks and brunch, Shell collecting
and lunch, sunset beachwalks watching the dolphins and dinner, and yes,
it's all low calorie!
- Bicycling
- Bowling
- Hiking n' Camping-, Ocala
National Forest, East Coast of
FL, local swamps and dives
- Canoeing and Kayaking-Explore 10,000 Islands, Florida's
Peace, and Myakka Rivers,
photograph wildlife!
- Fishing- 50 lb. Mahi-Mahi, 35 lb. Kingfish, 8 oz. Gefilte
fish, Nova, now running!
- Day Hikes
Corkscrew Swamp,
local parks, Sanibel Cayo Costa, and Captiva
Islands.
- Horseback Riding-Western and English Hunt Seat
- National Mosaic event- New York,
September, 1995-150 attendees!.
- 1995 International event- Costa Rica-Whitewater rafting,
Volcano sitting, Rainforest exploration, Swim in the Pacific
Ocean !
- 1996 International event-Bonaire-hiking, SCUBA, fishing,
windsurfing and more!
- 1996 Regional Event-Deland,
FL- 2 nighter overnight Campout
- 1997 Florida-Peace River Extravaganza- 2 day Canoeing and
'Smores-gobbling Overnighter with Green Saturn Trio's Music
- 1998 National Event- Everglades
Campout with Environmental Awareness
- 1998 National Event-Colorado Rocky Mountain Highs-Labor

- 2001 Skiing Copper

volleyball and SPF 15
- Rollerblading (alligator jumping not encouraged, but
helpful)
- Waterskiing or Sailing (with a very good wind!)
- Snorkeling or SCUBA- Florida’s Keys, East Coast of
Florida, to Bonaire, Palau,
Maldives
- Tennis Weekends at Naples’
World Tennis Club, and at Pelican
Bay's clay courts
- Joining with other National
Mosaic chapter's events for shared fun!
Many of our activities are social, with such not-so-active
activities including:
- Welcoming newcomers to The
10th Best City in the USA -Money Magazine
- Dining at other member's homes with "Potluck
suppers" and luncheons on the Gulf
- Trying different cuisines... Caribbean,
Chinese, Italian, Indian, Publix's, Spanish, Thai, etc.
- Relaxing on cruising sailboats (and even taking them
out... on the beautiful Gulf!)
- Busing and carpooling to events from The Czars' Exhibit in
St. Pete, to events in Miami-Palm Beaches, Orlando
- Attending the Philharmonic concerts, shmoozing over
Starbucks coffee at Barnes & Noble
- Spiritual Growth and Kabbalah seminars by members
- Stargazing at a local observatory
- Friday night services with Rabbi Brad Bloom and Rabbi Baht
Yameen Weiss at Temple Shalom
- Celebrating Weddings among our members (Five, so far, and
one engagement, too!) !
