Quintet,
a 3 movement piece written for the Nashville Symphony
String Quintet, Nathan Kahn, principal bass and Harris
Shilakowsky, assistant concertmaster, Nashville Symphony
Orchestra a one movement piece premiered at
Yale University in Sprague Hall, scored for B flat clarinet,
violin, piano, cello and Bass clarinet completed for a composition
competition, this piece was recorded in a studio on the
South Shore of Boston, then digitally remastered along with
the Messaien and Ysaye pieces which can be heard on the
Recital tape available at Recordings. Scored for 5
violins. written in 1971 while attending
the Thelma Yellin School for the Arts in Israel, and
premiered there. The Fiddlers' Fugue, scored for five
violins is based on the theme from this piece. in memory of violinist, Sharon
Gewirtz. This is a piece for unaccompanied violin.
