Issued to accompany the exhibition of the same name held at the Spertus Gallery in 2003-04, deals with the Temple at Jerusalem, and with the ''Temple Scroll'' which was one of the Dead Sea Scrolls. 167pp, illustrated throughout, mostly in colour.. The McMahon Letters include the correspondence between Sir Henry McMahon (His Majesty's High Commissioner in Egypt) and Hussein Sharif of Mecca between 1915 and 1916 and represent a series of letters that were exchanged during World War I in which the British government agreed to recognize Arab independence after the war in exchange for Hussein's launching the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire.
